Love these talks.

Kindergarten kicked her behind.
Olivia fell asleep at 5:45pm and did not get up until 6:30am this morning. She ate her dinner for breakfast.

Playing catch up from June! Here is a bunch of stuff
Olivia's interesting subliminal artwork from today. It is her interpretation of "Girl's Day Out." F - stands for her friend Finley, O stands for Olivia, N stands for Nikki, M stands for Morgie, the first B stands for Becky (me), and the second B stands for Becky Neubauer.
O: "Mom, you know why I crawled into bed with you? I had a nightmare. There were 100 dragons and 100 monsters. The dragon had terrible claws and ripped the top of the house off. Then, I saw a deer. It didn't have a head. It reached down into a paper bag and pulled out a giant avocado. He put the avocado on like a head but it didn't have eyes. Then, I had to kick him in the head, the avocado head. The dragon was red and burning, it was really scary."
Me: "Wow, that was quite the dream."
O: "No, Mommy, that was NOT a dream. That was a NIGHTMARE."
Me: "Wow, that was quite the dream."
O: "No, Mommy, that was NOT a dream. That was a NIGHTMARE."
OH: "Ugh, so if this is what 38 feels like...what the heck is 48 gonna feel like?"
Olivia: "Dead."
Olivia: "Dead."
You know what I love about having a son? Charlie makes me feel more protected and safe at 2 1/2 years old than just about any grown man. Little dude was in bed with me this morning and he always insists on putting his arm under my head so my head rests on his chest and he holds me tight. His little muscle man arms just wanna protect his momma. He is going to make some girl feel real special someday. AND, I am going to teach that kid how to dance with a gal. Look out ladies!
"Charlie, this is a part of an egg shell. Eggs come from chickens...they come from the chicken bagina. The farmer puts the eggs in a basket. Inside the egg is a baby chick and we eat the baby chick slobber."
"Mommy, I neeeeeed my hem-mut. Mo-yo-cycle dange-ous." I think you need a little more than that kid.
Me: "Olivia, did you kiss Elliot or did Elliot kiss you this weekend?"
O: "Yes...by accident!"
Me: "How many times?"
O: "Twice."

Me: "How many times?"
O: "Twice."
"Olivia, why did you get a time-out at school today?"
"Umm...well it all started when Charlie and I were shaking our booties..Nicolegave us a time out for shaking our booties."
"Well, your story does not make sense because Charlie did not get a time-out, only you did. Pretty sure shakin' the booty is not a time-out offense at school."
"Ughh...okay okay...I didn't pick up the toys."

Why is horizontal the default...for both of them?!!! I need my own bed...oh wait.
And on Tuesdays, we rub bananas into our hair.
FreeHand breakfast in the car!
Thanks Mom for hanging on to my childhood telescope! Now O can spy on the neighbors, too.
Now, instead of talking back or coming up with some smart ars comment Olivia just looks at us, smirks, and blurts out, "HORRIBLE THOUGHTS....HORRIBLE THOUGHTS!"
"Mommy, did you know that when I hear sounds and if they stop my ears will puke? They will throw up ear wax all over the place if you turn the music off."
Kindergarten orientation this morning.
The following questions and comments were made BY THE PARENTS!!!!!!:
- My daughter is left-handed and I've been treating it as a disability. Will there be a specialist on hand to help her?
- What will you call my daughter if another kid has the same name?
- My son can't open tupperware. Will there be someone to help him open his lunch everyday?
- After the teacher said to label all kids clothing......Should I put first name or last name on my kids clothes? A debate ensued about labeling clothes and better practices in labeling clothes using first OR last, or first AND last name on clothes.
- Should I put a name on my kids snowpants? Because they are hard to label and they are not really "clothes."
- If my kid gets in trouble will he get in trouble by himself? Or does the whole class get in trouble....kind of like a group timeout?
- Can my daughter have a pet lizard in her backpack?
