Cookin' like mommy!

Olivia has observed many-a-meal makin' in the kitchen and today was no different. I started to make lunch and she went over to the pot holder drawer, selected an oven mitt, placed said oven mitt on her hand, and proceeded to try and open the oven. I am not sure what she was making for lunch but I think she made the same for dinner because she did it again. So cute!!!!

Growing Up!

Olivia is growing up sooooo fast. She answers questions in the affirmative or negative. She independantly thinks about Scrappy a lot during the day because her teachers at school say she walks around and makes the "Scrappy sign" while playing. She knows her please and thank yous AND uses them. Wow. I think she adds a new word to her vocabulary at least daily, today it was Delilah, one of her friends at school. Olivia pronounces her name Deh-yi-yah.

Make-believe, jingle bells and Hollywood Magic!

Over the last couple of days, Olivia has really started to exhibit her pretend play and her interest in make-believe. We pretend to stir pudding and bake cakes with a wooden spoon and plastic bowl. Yesterday, Olivia was playing with two wooden coasters at Grandma Nowlin's house and she was pretending to eat off of them. Tonight in the bath, she was driving the fire truck around accompanied by a vroom-vroom noise.

Olivia cracks herself up when Scrappy comes running toward her, she is convinced that Scrappy is playing tag.

Yesterday, the family ventured off to the Children's Museum and Olivia had her very first "green screen" experience (well, it was actually a blue screen). Click play on the video below.
