No. It is NOT embarrassing AT ALL when your 2 yr old jumps up on to the food court table bench at Costco and in his deepest, scratchiest, and at the highest decibel yells, "Gaaaahhhhdd Daaaammnit!!!!"

I saw you judging me pregnant lady as I tried not to LOL under my breath...as I tried to not react at all. Just you wait. JUST...YOU...WAIT!!!

AND, who the eff has been swearing around my kid????

The voices in her head

Me: O, please clear off the table.
O: No, I am going to put my jammies on.
Me: Olivia, GO CLEAR OFF THE TABLE.
O: (walking away)
Me: Are you listening to me?
O: No. I am listening to MY head.



This broke my heart yesterday, made me mad, made me confused, and made me all kinds of crazy. Unfortunately/fortunately, I have a kid who listens and studies everything she hears, sees, overhears, lip-reads, senses, observes, etc. SHE IS 5. Five years old. She has only been here for 66 months and she said this:

"Olivia made a comment today when we were making strawberry muffins...

She told me that she can't have one, because she weighs too much."

Now, I think she just said it and doesn't actually believe it. We discussed it at the dinner table last night. But...this is sad and it makes me sad for every little girl and boy in the world. Just be healthy people, healthy. Don't worry about numbers, sizes, inches, pounds, kilograms, fat....and don't comment on the appearance of other people or yourself in a negative way. Be kind, be kind to others and most importantly, be kind to yourself.



O: Mommy, I CANNOT wait to go to heaven.
Me: Why?
O: So I can eat mac and cheese EVERY DAY for breakfast.
