Who's number 1?!
Olivia is #1! At least she will be in a few short weeks. 11 months tomorrow - wow!
At daycare, Olivia's teachers keep Mom and Dad abreast of her daily activities. Here are a few quotes:
"So, do you guys laugh a lot at home?" said teacher.
"Yes, between her Dad and I, yes, we laugh a lot," I said.
"I figured because Olivia pretty much laughs all day long," she said.
"So, you know how Olivia likes to laugh a lot."
"Yes."
"Well, she likes to do it at some of the most inopportune times."
"Oh?"
"Yes, I try to bounce (in a chair) some of the other babies to sleep and Olivia crawls over and starts laughing at them. It really does not help."
"Olivia pulled off Benjamin's socks today."
"Olivia pulled off Louis' socks today."
"Olivia pulled off all the babies socks today."
"Olivia pulled off her own pants today. I was pretty impressed with that one."
"Olivia and Tatum enjoyed playing dress up today."
"Olivia was sitting on the toy car and Tatum pushed her all around the room today. The other babies just stared at them."
"Tatum would put her finger in Olivia's mouth. Olivia would bite Tatum's finger and Tatum would cry. And then, Tatum would put her finger in Olivia's mouth. Olivia would bite Tatum's finger and Tatum would cry. And then...You would think she would have stopped?"
"Olivia enjoyed the texture of Gabrielle's hair today." Translation - Olivia pulled Gabrielle's hair today.
"Do you guys play patty cake a lot at home?"
"I don't know, I think her Dad does in the morning when I am getting ready for work. I do once in a while. Why?"
"Olivia was eating in her high chair and the song Patty Cake would come on and she would stop eating and start Pattycaking when they sang Pattycake. She then would go back to eating...until they sang Pattycake again."
When ever it is meal time for Olivia, one of her teachers will usually say to another, "Hey, watch this..." for one reason or another. Maybe because she will gobble down 3 whole strawberries in 30 seconds, or shove an entire fruit muffin in her face, or because she eats two fisted. Silly girl.
