Everyone in the tub - yell! and other stuff

On Olivia's daily report from daycare today it read: "Olivia thought it would be fun to sit in the jumperoo and jump with Michael, she discovered it was a tight squeeze. :)"

Upon picking her up at daycare today, her teacher Katie thought Olivia felt a little warm and decided to take her temp. I held Olivia's head tight while Katie put the ear scanner up to her left lobe. Olivia was in tears because of her recent ear drama even though it did not hurt a bit. Katie felt bad and said, "Look, it's ok, it is just a thermometer, here you go..."

Katie handed the thermometer to Olivia, Olivia examined it carefully and then Olivia proceeded to hold it up to her own ear. You only have to show her one time!

Mommy! I said no tub pictures!

"ALL DONE!", Story Time and Daddy's milk

Olivia has been very selective about her daily reading, she definitely has her favorite books: Rollie Pollie Ollie, Good Night Moon, What do they say?, and Kiss Good Night. Nightly, we page through a stack of books and she either shakes her head "No" or in an exaggerated fashion nods her head "yes" (she just learned to nod recently and most of the time it consists of a chin bump off the chest). Yesterday was the first time Olivia walked over to her "library," picked out a book, and brought it back for Daddy to read. So cute!

TODAY was the first day that Olivia combined two words AND vocalized them! Olivia was in her chair finishing up her turkey burger, mixed veggies, and black grapes when she threw her hands in the air to wave that she was all done. Mommy noticed and said, "Olivia, are you all done?"

Olivia continued to wave her arms and to Mommy and Daddy's surprise, glee, delight, joy, and sheer bliss she announced, "ALL DONE." Needless to say, we were shocked, proud, in awe, and we all applauded for about 2 minutes.
