Charlie's first plane ride! PHX

Sweet window seat view of the engine.
Yup, they send the kids to the back of the plane where no one can hear them.

Don't french kiss your brother honey...

January Randoms

Grandma Betty T. turned 90, Elmo was Live, tears of hope, Peter Pan sprinkled some fairy dust, swimming lessons, cupcakes a plenty, lots o' laundry, the circle of life wigged and thank goodness it wagged (deep breath, for now), tears of joy,
and in summary, it was one heck of a weekend.

Cranky New Year!

Well, okay then...

next time I want you to say 'Yes, you are correct, Olivia.'"

Bong Fever

‎"Bong, bong, bong, bong, bong."
Visual: Olivia in the dark, hanging off the end of her bed beating on a drum.
Mark opens the door, "Olivia get in bed."
Olivia looks up,
"I AM in bed Daddy," and resumes the bedtime drum beating circus act, "bong, bong, bong, bong, bong."

"Olivia, I need to take your temperature."
"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" screaming, crying....
"Olivia, if I take your temperature and if I find you have a fever, you don't have to go to school."
"Okay Mommy! Check both my ear and my armpit!"

Not today honey.

After throwing up 5 times on the floor and a little shocked about it, Olivia said as I was cleaning up, "Sometimes grownups have to clean up kids throw up, sometimes kids throw up, sometimes kids are healthy. Sometimes kids go to American Girl even when they throw up and don't feel like eating lunch."

Back at it.

I've been back to work for little over a week now. It has been a difficult transition for all except maybe Charlie. He is the easy one of the bunch. It is a lot easier to go through change and transition yourself than to watch your kid battle through it. Poor baby, Olivia. Ugh.
