I am the luckiest mom in the world. When I put Charlie to bed, I get full-on cat-like cheeky snuggles complete with drool, snot, and kisses. When I put Olivia to bed, I get hugs, snuggles, and compliments like, "Mommy, you are the smartest mommy in the whole world. You know how awesome you are Mommy? (holds hands wide apart) This awesome!"

I'm cleaning the house up stairs and Charlie is partying in the living room dancing to music (I believe it was an 80s dance mix). I hear a fire alarm go off and flip out running down stairs to get the kid. By the time I get down stairs the alarm is gone. I go back upstairs and hear it again. Now I think it's coming from the basement. By the time I run to the basement the alarm is gone. Third time it happens I think it's the radon alarm and I'm about to pull the rip chord and get the hell out of the house. On the way out as I'm grabbing as many valuables as I can fit in my hoodie pullover and have dialed 9-1 on the cell phone I happen to glance at the tv in the background and realize that Chuck is watching "Barney: Let's go to the Firehouse" on Netflix. Oops.

We're now code 4.......and the tv has been muted.

Monkey Ears & Paperwork!

Olivia's Christmas wish list: (1) Doll, (2) Paperwork (There is no doubt she is Mark Nowlin 's daughter), (3) Spiderman Movies, (4) Batman Doll.

When in doubt, "Mommy, I am just going to draw monkey ears on him because I don't know how to draw ears like ours..." Fantastic!

Charlie ate a tablecloth yesterday. Yup, gnawed a hole right through the sucker. Oh and then he smashed grandma Nowlin's favorite porcelain figurine. Add it to the tab.

Olivia and I just returned from Canada's Royal Winnipeg Ballet's WONDERLAND performance at the Orpheum Theatre. During the show, Olivia asked many questions, she loves all there is to do with the stage, and then she turned to me and said, "Mommy, when we get our Monster Truck, we should put teeth on it!" And then, a few moments later she yanked up her Rapunzel dress so I could scratch her back.

Mark filled me in, and apparently, Charlie made himself at home at every house he trick or treated at barging in the front door and attempting to redecorate a few places.

Olivia had a grand time passing out candy to all the kiddos. Charlie tried to leave with a pack of ten girls. He made it out the door and down the first step before Mark swept him back in. Ladies man.

You know you're a Mom when... your 11 month old bites into a bar of soap, is gagging, and you also bite into the soap so you know exactly what he is experiencing.

I should mention that I had about 6 hours of sleep the whole weekend when I thought it was a good idea to bite into the soap. I was unfamiliar with the bar of soap and thought, "What if it is the poisonous, burning kind of soap?"
