Olivia up to no good, color sorting? GREEN! New kicks! Wasabi!

Friday night we actually attended a grown up dinner party. Mommy was unsure of how to act since it has been so long since Daddy and she got out...we survived and had a great time. At the party, Olivia demanded she try the wasabi peas - and she liked them! I guess she has inherited her Grandmother and Great Grandmother's affection for hot, spicy food that makes your eyes water.

All the couples brought their kids and unfortunately, undocumented hilarity ensued when Nina and Katie (2-10yr olds) played dress up with Olivia. The first outfit was a pink princess dress and a 93 year old grandma's wig. The second was a green dance number and viking helmet complete with horns. And third, Olivia was paraded in Christmas attire adorned with a Santa hat. Olivia didn't mind at all, she even twirled when the girls asked her to do so!

Yesterday morning, Olivia was in Mommy's bathroom and decided to do a little color sorting. Busted!

Here is the action packed color sorting video...click play!

Growing so fast, out of the old Lelli Kelly's and into the new ones!
"Dad, let's move it buster, I wanna go to Grandma/Grandpa Nowlin's house, sheesh!"

Bad mommy blogger since I went freestyle (freelance)

It has been a long, long time since I have written anything wonderful about my sweet pea. She is still a sweet pea and she makes us laugh a lot. At night, when I put Olivia to bed we have a ritual: story time, snuggle baby, and then she turns around, kneels on my lap and looks me in the eye. With great intent, she tells me a story about her day, her thoughts about mommy, or just her concerns. Then she rubs her little hands on my cheeks like she is rubbing my face, she then touches her own face and this goes back and forth several times. Her small hands are still so soft and she is so gentle when holding mommy's cheeks. It usually ends with a peck good night and some good shoulder snuggles. Awe... I love her.

Apparently, Mommy's plate is the garbage plate at every meal now. If Olivia eats something and does not like it, does not want anymore, or whatever, she spits it out in to her hand, says "yuck" and puts it on Mommy's plate. Better than the floor I guess?

Being freestyle (that is what Mark likes to call it and it sticks), I have more time with Olivia but I am busier than I have ever been and frankly, having some Mommy guilt because of it. She doesn't get to hang with her friends, Mommy has to use the computer a lot, and feel like I should be teaching her more than I do.

When Mommy was away freestyling in San Fran, apparently it is okay to eat lots of chocolate pudding, munch on ice cream cones in the car, and well, you will see below...
