It was beautiful today outside over lunch so Olivia and I had a picnic. We crossed the river and found a nicely secluded park bench for her to nurse. She has been so distracted lately when eating that we are back to half hour/45 min sessions at times. Today's distractions were good ones, she could continue to nurse and look up and see the breeze blowing through the leaves on the trees. We could hear the mumble of the river current, joggers and walkers passing nearby and the trees rustling. It was very peaceful and I was once again thankful to have the opportunity to bring Olivia so close to me when I am at work. What a way to spend your lunch break!

Olivia is almost 7 months old, wow! Her third tooth made its appearance on Sunday afternoon. Her top left "Lefty" will soon be joining her bottom two, "Wig" and "Wag." Just kidding, I didn't really name her teeth but now the names are kinda growing on me. Oh no...

A few days ago, Olivia found out she is going to be a cousin again! We will wait a little bit to reveal the good news as to who the parents are since they may still be spreading the word.

The other day, I was thinking about one of the silly things I worried a lot about when Olivia was born. My glasses, yes, my glasses...I was worried she would be scared of my glasses that I wear on my face to bed and put on in the morning when I wake up. "What if she didn't recognize me?" I thought. Now I wear my dark sunglasses without hesitation and she still knows who I am. Rocket science, I know.

Animal Kingdom Playdate! Baby Battle! Olivia - Cover Girl? Vote now!

On Saturday morning, Toodie and her friend Briley decided they wanted to go to the zoo. The mom's thought they would love to see all the different animals pacing, sunning and swimming in their exhibits when really, Mosely the cat provided the most fun of all. Here is Briley, Olivia and Mosley.

Six month checkup - all clear! New cousin, too!

Yesterday afternoon, Olivia had her six-month checkup and she passed with flying colors. She now weighs 18lbs (85th percentile, same size as Scrappy Doo), she is 27 1/2 inches tall (97th percentile), and her head resides in the 85th percentile. I am pretty sure she gets the big head from her Dad. She took her shots like a champ and barely cried - we sang our ABC's and that fun cheered up the crowd very quickly.

On another joyful note, Olivia welcomed her new cousin Lily E. Lily was born April 16th to Auntie Alba, Uncle David and Cousin Eva. Olivia did not want to mention the great news until now so that Lily's mom/dad could officially spread the news themselves. Welcome Lily!

Little Sun Devil!

Toodie and Dad enjoyed their first vacation in Phoenix together while Mom worked this past week.

Toodie found the pool so relaxing that she fell asleep while in the water over Mom's shoulder. Here she is making a splash!

We came home on Saturday morning and Toodie was soooo excited to be back with all her toys. Here she is banging on her drum...and then licking it. Click play on the video above and the video below.

Star of the Month and Swimming Practice

For the month of May, Toodie was named "Star of the Month" at daycare. She was asked to provide 3-5 adorable photos and if you know her mom, she provided all five and wished she could post even more. Five "for-cute!" Toodie photos now adorn the wall at school along with her personal biography. Toodie enjoys long walks outside with Mom and Dad, her favorite toy is her real life puppy Scrappy Doo and she believes the "children are our future."

This Sunday, we leave for Phoenix. Mom has a business trip so Dad and Toodie will be lounging about at the resort in the lazy river. Last weekend, we decided to practice our swimming skills. See photo.
